observation oral presentation

TOPIC: Hunger in Africa

Presentation:
1. Did you use any resources?yes, we got our information from the internet and a news paper i had in my house. We used a powerpoint presentation to help us.
2. Were the resources relevant and attractive? Yes, we tried to put quite sad pictures because hunger is not an attractive subject, si the pictures and information were relevent to what we were saying

Body language and eye contact:
3. Did you look at your audience most of the time? at the start of the presentation i looked at my notes but inly for a second, and i looked at the presentation quite often and related it to what i was saying. most of the time i was looking at the audience
4. Did you read from your notes?one time at the start of the presentation.
5. Did you do any gestures/movement to hold the attention of you audience? yes, like i said i related the powerpoint to what i was saying and used some gestures.

Structure:
6. Did you organize your ideas in order of importance? Yes.
7. Did you use discourse makers to make your ideas more clear? I think what i said was very clear, and I can always improvise if i have to

Content:
8. Did you introduce interesting, NEW information to your audience? Yes. especially the critical issues.
9. Did you look up information/facts/ideas in the Internet/books? Yes. internet and news papers
10. Was your information more superficial or more detailed and original?I think the titel ''hunger in africa'' is a very extence topic, so i think what we said was detailed but more superficial.

Language:
11. Did you use check your grammar? Yes.
12. Did you use rich vocabulary looking up the dictionary? no
13. Did you use sentence linkers? Yes.
14. Did you use fillers? yes
Pronunciation & Intonation:
15. Did you know how to pronunce all you words? Yes, we practised together a lot but I’ve done some mistakes.
16. Did you check the pronunciation with a dictionary, a classmate or the teacher? No.
17. Did you change your tone of voice or use a monotone tone all the time? i changed my tone of voice.
18. Did you speed in a fluid continuum or with breaks and interruptions? i spoke fluently

Self-Evaluation: I spoke better than in the other presentations, i wasen't as nervious than before, so I think that it went very well. i got the message to the audience!!


Check your Language and Structure. Can you correct your mistakes?
the structure is correct, we worked on it a lot and during the presentation i didnt make any mistakes.
