Thirteen and Adrian mole

At the beginning of the film, Tracy is a good student, she's a normal girl and does'nt have many friends. It's her first year in the school and she isn't very popular. When she sees this girl called Evie who is the most popular girl in school she decides to try and be more like her. At first, she starts stealing clothes and money, but after a while things got out of hand and she started stealing things on a much larger scale and selling drugs. Tracy's grades start to get worse and her teachers started to get worried . Tracy starts to take drugs and became incontrolable, she begins cutting herself and doing nasty things. Evie moved in with Tracy's family but after a while they decided to get rid of her. Tracy ends up being unpopular again but she became more of a normal pearson. Evie continues being the most popular girl in school.

I think that Tracy becomes rebel and incontrollable because of some problems. Her father is always working we only saw him once in the film. Her mother tries to be good and help Tracy but she is'nt very helpful, and she doesn't pay attention to her daughter. Another problem is that her mother's boyfriend was a drug addict and he goes to live with them. But the main problem is that she wants to be popular and starts going with Evie, taking drugs and doing a lot of bad things. Evie is the worst problem of them all and when she starts to live with Tracy's family, more problems arrsed. I think that Tracy does all of these bad things to liberate her pain and to try to be like Evie, seemingly without problems. The combination of all of these problems makes Tracy becomes an unlikable girl

If we compare the film with Adrian Mole, we see two different lives but with some look alike problems. Adrian's parents are divorced like Tracy's, their lives are difficult and they haven't good very much money. Tracy has a difficult character and she is not happy with her body up to the point that starts cutting herself, and Adrian is happy with his body and he doesn't want to change.
